SUPPORT THE CHILDREN

We hope to create global and active citizens while fostering activism within the youth of the community.

We encourage people sheltered from the hardships of mankind to empathize with others' struggles and sufferings.

Global Issues Summit

While living in a fast paced society, it is rather difficult to tend to every single problem. Each day more and more people suffer from a number of disasters and human rights abuses ranging from discrimination to torture to poverty. Thus, with the  intent on spreading awareness about these areas of global concern, the Global Studies Academy of Clements High School will be holding a Global Issues Summit,  a conference taking place in the Clements High School Auditorium on April 20, 2013. Here, specific influential global affairs will be discussed and presented through first-hand accounts, organizational speakers, audiovisual documentaries, and performances.

Selection will be based on merit, seniority and capacity. Any student or community member interested in global topics is welcomed.  Attendance may be capped due to capacity.

** Unfortunately the Registration deadline has passed. We look forward to seeing those of you who registered this weekend! **

This year's Global Issues Summit will be on April 20, 2013 from 8:30 AM- 1 : 30 PM.
